Breathing exercise
Slow breathing is one of the fastest ways to shift your nervous system out of "alert" mode. Choose a pattern, press start, and breathe with the circle: it grows as you inhale, holds, and shrinks as you exhale. Two minutes is enough to notice the difference.

How it works
The 4-4-6 default keeps the exhale longer than the inhale, which gently activates the body's relaxation response. Box breathing (4-4-4-4) is the steady, focus-friendly variant, and 4-7-8 is a popular pre-sleep pattern — its long exhale makes some people lightheaded at first, so stay seated the first few tries.
The optional tones are short sine notes generated on your device with the Web Audio API — no files, no volume ambush. None of what you do here is recorded or sent anywhere.
