White noise generator
Steady background noise masks the sudden sounds — doors, traffic, a partner's phone — that pull you out of rest. Pick a color, set the volume low enough to forget about, and use the sleep timer if you only want it while you drift off.
How it works
The three "colors" differ in how energy spreads across frequencies: white is equal everywhere (bright hiss), pink tilts toward low frequencies (steady rain), and brown tilts further still (deep surf). Most people find pink or brown the easiest to sleep next to.
The noise is synthesized on your device with the Web Audio API and looped — nothing is downloaded, streamed, or tracked. The sleep timer fades the sound out over half a minute instead of cutting it, so it won't wake you on its way out.
